Printify vs Gelato: Which Print on Demand Supplier to Choose

Both are print on demand suppliers that connect to your shop and ship your orders. The right choice depends on where your customers are and what you sell. This comparison uses the companies' own public pages, and one of them is a competitor's page, so verify figures on each official website.

Catalog

Printify advertises the larger catalog of the two. Gelato's catalog is smaller and leans toward apparel, stationery and art prints. Look at the exact products you want to sell on the Printify and Gelato catalogs before you decide.

Production and shipping

Printify lets you choose a print provider for each product. Gelato routes each order automatically to a production partner close to the customer, in more than 30 countries. For customers in the United States, both advertise delivery in a few days to about a week.

Pricing and margins

On its own comparison page (data from September 2026), Printify lists a paid plan at $24.99 per month billed yearly against $19.99 for Gelato+, and a cheaper base price for a standard t-shirt. Because that page comes from Printify, compare base costs yourself for your own products on both platforms.

Print quality

Neither company prints everything itself: both work with partner printers, so quality varies between providers. Order samples of your top products from each before you commit to one.

Integrations

Both connect to Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce. Printify also lists a free built-in storefront and more sales channels, according to its comparison page.

Which one to choose

Choose Printify if you want a wide catalog and control over which provider prints each product. Choose Gelato if many of your customers are outside the United States, or if you want orders routed automatically to a local producer. Read the Printify review for more detail on the first one.
